When will we stop using gasoline and find an alternative gas?

Also, if anyone knows, when will there be a large production of cars that run on electricity or other energy on the market?

I think that there are some incentives that are being given to American car companies to produce more energy efficient cars and if thats not being done already, it should be. Ethanol is NOT a good alternative, it raises food prices by a drastic amount and isn’t that efficient to begin with. I’m talking about corn ethanol here. Corn is an extremely land intensive crop. The government is providing monetary and agricultural incentives for farmers to plant more corn. This nation cannot run on corn ethanol, it is virtually impossible.

Alternative energies are out there!! They just need to be more readily available to the average person.
